How to remove the - sign under widgets

Apple has repeatedly rejected builds without a widget name. To get approved, we’ve temporarily added a small “-” beneath each widget name. You can remove it by switching to Large Mode. See detailed instructions by tapping here.

How do I get started?

Download the Blank Spaces app from the App Store and add the widget to your home screen to get started. For detailed video tutorials on how to get started, please tap here.

Widget

I don't see the widget.

The widget is at the top of the list and has the Blank icon [-] and no name. If you don’t see it, please also try restarting your phone. For a comprehensive guide on the widgets, please tap here.

The widget / background isn’t centered on my home screen.

Add a medium Blank widget at the top and the large Blank widget at the bottom. Turn off Perspective Zoom in Settings.

How do I stack widgets?

Drag large widgets on top of each other to stack them. If you’re having issues, that may be a bug in iOS. A workaround is to create a Smart stack and then add the Blank widgets into it.

The widget is broken or unresponsive.

Try restarting your phone. If you are still having problems, delete and reinstall the app. Please feel free to contact us at ask@blankspaces.app for additional support.

How do I hide the dock?

Download wallpaper: Save any of our provided wallpapers by tapping here.

Open settings: Go to Settings > Wallpaper. Tap Add New Wallpaper.

Set wallpaper: Choose the wallpaper from your photos. Tap Add > Set as Wallpaper Pair.

Turn off blur: Tap Customize on the Home Screen wallpaper. Turn Blur off and tap Done.

Adjust display: Ensure your iPhone display is set to Dark or Light mode, based on the wallpaper. Make sure "Reduce Transparency" is turned off.

Apps

My favorite app isn’t listed.

In the Blank app, tap the "+" icon. Select "Don't see your app." Search for the app you want to add and tap it.

Check back over the next day to confirm it's been added. If not, please send us an email at ask@blankspaces.app so we can follow up with the development team.

As a temporary fix, try importing a shortcut that opens your app. You can see a guide on shortcuts by tapping here.

How do I add a shortcut?

How do I move or delete an app?

To move an app in the Blank app, press and hold on it, and then drag it to a new location. To delete an app, swipe left on it.

How do I restore my subscription?
